Sakura International Buffet

Today's outing with Huz was planned but what were to take place certainly didn't. All I knew, we were suppose to go on a hunt for a bag and some stationaries but eventually, we found ourselves at Sakura International Buffet, gorging down some sumptuous delicacies. Hahahaha! Blame it on Huz for being "extra hungry" on the day where all Singaporean received their "GST money". It's not fair coz I'm not eligible for it and I really felt the pinch! Luckily, Huz was kind enough to foot part of the bill. Hehehe. Thanx! :D

So, the menu hadn't really changed much at SIB but, I love it nonetheless! The variety of food really made me go nuts. Hahaha. I always make it a point to savour at least a piece of all the delicacies presented, so as not to waste what's spent, but then sadly, my stomach can't hold it all. Hehe. Hmmm... these were what we managed to indulge:

After dinner, we decided to walk round Downtown East for some window shopping before heading to E-hub to play some board games. We had so much fun playing "Can't Stop" and "Ubongo". Hahaha! Overall, it was just a lovely night. Nothing beats spending the first weekend with the bestie. Hehe... Thanx Huz! :D

Marley & Me

Today, as planned, I met up with Fareena, Farah & Salwah (in the evening) to watch a movie together. We had a tough time choosing which movie to watch but eventually, everyone mutually agreed on "Marley & Me". I thought, it wouldn't be great and probably boring but I decided to just give it a go. Who knows it will turn out otherwise, no? Haha. And boy, it sure did! ;)

Here's the snynopsis:
"As the snow falls on their wedding night, newlyweds John and Jenny Grogan (Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston) decide to leave behind the harsh winters of Michigan and head south to begin their new lives in West Palm Beach, Florida. They obtain jobs as journalists at competing local newspapers, buy their first home, and begin to make their way through the challenges of a new marriage, new careers and, possibly, the life-changing decision to start a family.

Unsure of his preparedness for raising children, John confesses his fears to his friend and fellow journalist Sebastian, who comes up with the perfect solution: John should get Jenny a puppy. "There's nothing to it," says Sebastian. "You walk 'em. You feed 'em, you let 'em out now and then."

Then came Marley.

The Grogans adopt the cute, twelve pound yellow Labrador, who in no time at all, grows into a 100-pound steamroller of unbridled energy that turns the Grogan home into a disaster area. He flunks obedience school, chews off dry-wall, takes a bite out of the sofa, overturns garbage cans, steals a Thanksgiving turkey, consumes pillows and flowers, drinks toilet water, and chases the UPS guy. Even a newly-purchased, expensive necklace isn't safe from Marley's voracious antics.

Amidst the mayhem he generates through the years, Marley sees the Grogans through the ups and downs of family life, through job and home changes, and most of all, through the myriad challenges of a growing family. As John and Jenny come to realize, Marley—"the world's worst dog"—somehow brings out the best in them."

Oh my goodness. This have got to be the best movie of year! It's extremely realistic and touching! A lovely tearjerker (excessively sentimental) movie just fit for everyone. Know what? I can't resist having tears in my eyes at the end of the movie! Haha. Mind U, this rarely happen to me when I watch movie, ok. "Marley & Me" must be something special. I feel like I can relate to it. Hehe. :) So yeah, go watch the movie to know what I mean, aite? :D

After movie, we decided to chill out at The Coffee Bean Paragon for a while before heading home. It's funny how we all chose to drink Snapple/Esprit instead of the usual ice blended. I reckon, it's all about saving some bucks! Haha. Hmm... after some time of sitting around, I started to take out my camera and snapped some pictures, like always. Hehehe... Here's the (best) result:

P/S: Thank U so much gals for the lovely evening/night! Would love to watch a movie together, again! :D

Mosi Cafe/Coffee Bean

Bearing in mind the uncertainties of the future, whether we'll split or remain united, me and my friends decided that we shall use the last week of school to hang out and spend time together for as long as we could. U know, just in case we really never get the chance to meet up again in the future, after splitting ways. Then again, even now, everyone is so busy with their own lives till it's difficult to gather everyone at the same place and time. End up, we just have to split up the outing. Well, I don't quite mind. In fact, I treasure the moments more! ;)

Anywho, today I went out with Farah & Salwah first. Hehe. Last night, Farah came out with a very detailed and lovely plan for the evening and thus, I agreed instantly! I believe she's born to be an event planner or something. Haha! :D So what's her plan? Well firstly, we were to have dinner at Mosi Cafe located along Haji Lane before proceeding to The Forum Shopping Mall's Coffee Bean to chill out and chat the night away. How nice is that?! ;) I just love simplicity~

Now, when we thought everything was going according to plan, there's Ms Salwah who at the very last minute told us in a brief sms that she can't make it for dinner, due to some personal problems. I was like, are U kidding me? Haha! Oh wells, me & Farah have nothing much to say even though honestly, we're pissed! :P We slowly made our way to Haji Lane from Bugis MRT and when we reached Mosi Cafe, we wasted no time in making ourselves comfortable in the air-conditioned and carpeted room. :D

It was my first time in the cafe and guess what? It was love at first sight! Particularly because it's a Moroccan Cafe!!! I have always adored Moroccan interior decoration and since I love sitting on the floor, I find the cafe's concept as pretty much unique yet cosy. I can't stop staring at all corners of the cafe while snapping some pictures. The waitresses gave me a weird look but little do I care about them. I did apologize for snapping without asking their permission though but they were cool with it. Haha!

As it was my first time, I had to depend on Farah for recommendations on food but eventually, I didn't ordered what she suggested. Sorry! Haha. These were what we had:

French Fries

Bak-Po Sandwich

Chicken Shawarma

Cold Chocolate & Mocha

I had the time of my life in the little cafe! I think, everyone knows that I'm attracted to everything Arabian so I didn't felt odd savouring arabian cuisines while listening to some lovely arabian songs. It's Amr Diab, for god's sake! I know ALL of his songs. Haha! :D I guess, our experience for the night would be more complete if there's some ladies belly dancing in front of us while we puff on some shisha... Hahahaha. What a wish! :P Oh my, I will definitely visit the cafe again, real soon. It just felt like home! Hehe...

After dinner, me & Farah quickly headed to The Forum. We hurried because we didn't want to waste time. We arrived at Coffee Bean first and soon enough, Salwah came. After a quick chat with her about her problems, we stopped to order some drinks and snack before continuing to chat and laugh the night away! I believe we were quite loud as some of the other patrons gave us an annoyed look but who the hell cares, right? We just had the time of our lives!!

Oh yeah, I also had the girls to do some "modelling poses" and look at the results! Fantabulous, no? Hahahaha. I am so nuts! Wonder why they gave in, too? Hehe. Once we're done with everything, we decided to head home, all smiles. :)

P/S: Thanx F&S for the lovely evening/night! I hope to meet up with U two again tomorrow, alongside Farrr & Yana for some movie outing. Weeee~

Pastamania - Junction 8

Oh my goodness! This is just unbelievable. After posting about how I dislike Pastamania and perhaps won't set my foot in the restaurant again, I found myself walking into the restaurant for the third time! Haha. To think that the interval is not even far apart... sheesh. Anywho, this time round, me and my friends decided to have late lunch there because they're very very kind towards student. There's 30% off the total bill for us. Isn't that just cool?! So yeah, before my "ITE Student" status is officially removed, I thought I better make full use of it. Hehehe!

At the back of my mind, I can't help but wonder if the delicacies here would be better or worst than the ones that I've tasted at Harbourfront and Far East Plaza but eventually, I told myself that there's nothing to lose coz after all, the total bill will come off to a total steal. Haha. So, after going throuh the menu thoroughly, we all placed our orders and the delicacies soon arrived, piping hot. These were what we had:

Garlic Bread

Carbonara - Turkey bacon, egg, parmesan & cheese

Spicy Chicken (with Chilli Padi) - Chicken & peas in chilli tomato herb sauce

Chicken Sausage (Extra Spicy) - Sliced sausages, peas & chilli in creamy tomato herb sauce

Chicken Bolognese - Tasty chicken in tomato herb sauce

Spiced Fish Baked Pasta - Proached dory, green capsicum, button muschrooms & diced tomatoes served with spiced sauce & gratinated with mozzarella cheese

U know what? I just have to take back all that I've said. Everything taste freaking awesome, here!!! For the first time, I felt splurging at Pastamania was worthit! I am especially in love with the Carbonara. I heard the Marinara is also sumptuous but what I'm craving for now is, the pizzas! They're a bit pricey but I'll definitely save up to savour them in the near future. Hahahahaha! :)

P/S: Thanx gals for agreeing to have lunch at Pastamania! Also thanx to Salwah for the (partial) treat! :D

P/S/S: Iz, stop drooling, aite? Haha! Btw I know U've tasted the Marinara. What's your take on it? ;)
