Traffic Police Practical Test

After going through more than 10 driving lessons by now, I feel that I'm ready to book the TP Practical Test. As I'm enlisting into National Service real soon, the kind people at the ComfortDelGro Driving Centre arranged an earlier date specially for me. No words can describe how thankful I am. As such, it's confirmed that I will be sitting for the most feared TP test on...

18TH JULY 2009!

Wish me luck, everyone! I sure will need loads of it. Haha! I'm super duper excited yet nervous now... :)

Anglia

Back in September 2008, I blogged about my love for Anglia's clothing. Ever since my last purchase, I never really visit their boutique again to browse through their new collections, what more to purchase new clothings. Haha. So much for my "love", eh? Well it's not that I do not want to. I just felt that their clothings are only suitable for events so it's not that practical despite being extremely lovely (both material and design wise). Since I already own a few shirts (and hardly wear them), I thought that my love would have to eventually end.

Guess what? I was so wrong!!! Hahaha. How I wish didn't pass by Anglia @ Joo Chiat Complex today! Blame mom for wanting to go round JCC "just to look" at what's available for sale at the boutiques. Gee. Anywho, my love for Anglia came back! As soon as I stepped into the boutique, I just knew that something somehow would definitely come back with me. Haha!

This time I was right! While I was browsing through their new collections, a very pure white shirt caught my eyes and I couldn't bear to let go of it. I instantly fell in love with the unique design on the shirt! Anglia now introduces a new range of clothings where all the designs will be imprinted on the clothings itself so as to give it a little texture and character. All along, their clothings are only made of printed fabrics. My shirt has this palm leaf design which really fits the Summer season now. Hahahaha! My, thank goodness for the change, Anglia! Now my love for U will remain for eternity. :P

Oh yeah, sadly, I don't think I will be using this shirt anytime soon coz there's no major event lined up before I enlist for National Service. I told mom that I will just put it on later during the Hari Raya season. Upon hearing that, she immediately decided to get a similar piece as mine just to be a little matchy-matchy on Hari Raya. Hahahaha. Cute, right? ;) While I don't really agree with the idea, I just gave in because mom never bought a real matching piece with mine before. This could be the start to everything. Hahaha! :D All in all, we were extremely happy even though we had to fork out a little bit more than expected for the clothings (new design, remember? :P)...

Birthday Celebration

Ever since I graduated from ITE, I never plan a meet up with any of my close friends even though I miss them all terribly. Hehe! It's not that I do not want to but I guess it's kinda tough to meet especially due to the hectic life everyone's living. I should know better because I sometimes can't even find enough time for myself, what more for others? So yeah... But then, I salute Farah for trying out her luck recently to get everyone together even though eventually, it's only me who made it to the outing. Hehe!

Still, we had a total blast! I could never ask for a more wonderful time. It's also great that Farah's sister tagged along so at least the situation wouldn't be so awkward. Hehe! Upon meeting at Tampines, we quickly headed to Bugis to have our dinner at Fish & Co. Since Farah's birthday is just around the corner, me and her sister decided to give her a little treat at the restaurant. Haha! The restaurant was jam packed but we're lucky to get seats. :)

It's been quite some time since my last visit to Fish & Co but it seems like the menu hadn't changed one bit so it wasn't hard for me to pick out what I wanted. The same goes to Farah and her sister too. ;) While waiting for our food, as per normal, we camwhored a little and did a little of catching up. Haha. Soon enough, everything we ordered arrived (still love the cute pans! :P). Here's what we had;

*Seafood Platter for One*

*The Best Fish & Chips in Town!*

*New York Fish & Chips*

*Brownie with Ice Cream*

*Panna Cotta*

I don't know about you but I really feel that Fish & Co deserves an extremely good rating of 9.5/10! Their food were all superb! It's beyond delicious and comes in a really big portion too. What's there not to love? Hahaha. The desserts weren't too bad at all but there's one little thing which I'm shocked to find out. The Panna Cotta's sauce actually contain splashes of cherry liqueur!!! Hahaha. Not a wonder I felt my head spinning "right round" after I've indulged everything to the last bit. Still not good with my alcohol I guess. LMAO! *sheesh* Oh yeah, the main part of it contains gelatine too! Tsk3 Nizam... :x

Ok pretend U never see what I typed above, aite? Teehee! I'm just sharing my experience so that U're more aware of what U eat the next time. It's my fault for not asking, I guess. Oh wells. After dinner, the three of us quickly headed to Bugis Street to shop for a bit. Ok the ladies shopped. I just gave my comment, as usual! :P Haha. We also managed to check out Illuma and some shops in Bugis Junction. It sucks that BHG just had to close early on a weekend night. We could be their potential customer! Hehehe.

We soon parted ways but the good memories will remain for a long time to come. Thanx for the short but awesome night, Farah & the sister. Hehehehe! On this note, I'd also like to wish Farah...

A VERY
HAPPY 19TH BIRTHDAY!!!!
All the best in everything U do, yeah?
May God bless U, always! :D

Pattaya Garden Restaurant

Today, right after mom's and granny's hair treatment at one of the salon along changi road, we decided to have an early dinner nearby. It wasn't that tough to choose a location because we already knew where to head ever since we left home. Haha! Where else could it be if not Pattaya Garden Restaurant, which serves authentic Thai cuisines? :)

Hmmm... I can't really recall when I last set my foot in the restaurant but one thing for sure, it must have been sometime back. I was shocked to see the restaurant revamped! Hahaha. It's much more nicer now but still, it's very basic and simple. I wish they have brought in more Thai-influenced decoration for the interior. Then again, who cares about decoration or what nots! It's the food that matters, right? Hehehe...

As soon as we settled down, we quickly ordered our food. While waiting, we camwhored a little (as usual) and chatted for a bit. After around 5 mins or so, we received what we ordered, all fresh from the wok! Hahaha. Here's what we had:

*Phad Thai Set*

*Pineapple Fried Rice Set*

*Seafood Fried Rice*

Overall, I would rate the food a good 8/10. Taste wise, it was just so-so but portion wise, man it's huge! Hahaha. I really had a tough time finishing my Phad Thai! Still, it's really value for money. Though this is a restaurant, everything is priced like the usual hawker center food so it's not a surprise to see many people visiting the restaurant at almost any time of the day. Weeee~ :)

BFF Impromptu Moments

Me, Huz & Iz met up once again today to spend some quality time together. Though it was not according to what we have nicely planned, we still had a blast! :) Everything that took place was kinda impromptu but I'm glad they went on smoothly. :)

We started of by taking a bus from Bedok to City Hall and then walked all the way to Marina Square. No idea why this had to happen since the MRT would be more convenient but hey, things happen. Hahahaha! As soon as we reached MS, our tummy were kinda rumbling, so we took some time to decide where to eat. We finally agreed to have an early dinner at the foodcourt where cheap and good food can be found but guess what? We ended up at Breeks instead! Hehe.

Well, I guess it was partially my fault for the sudden change coz I couldn't resist the tempting menu at Breeks. It's been a while anyways. Hehe! Furthermore, I was able to splurge a little on food so why not give it a go, right? :P I'm glad I did because I sure had a good time in the restaurant! The food served were superb and the customer service was just excellent. Here's what we had;

*Patties Melted*

*BBQ Half Chicken with Honey Berry Sauce*

*Cajun Chicken Chop*

*Marble Chocolate Fondue Set*

Stop drooling already! Did I say that the Fondue is TDF? I can't get enough of the Avocado! Hahahaha. I felt it's worth every single cent, man! A really really satisfied customer here. ;) Head down to Breeks to savour the delicacies, now! :D

With a full tummy, we walked out of the restaurant, all smiles. We then window shopped at MS before making our way to the Esplanade. Now, I've never expected us to sit down near the waterfront to watch a live gig perform but guess what? We actually did. Hahaha! I'm never a big fan of gigs but if it's worth my time watching, then why not? ;) The band that performed for the night was named "BangkuTaman" (Park Bench) and they originated from Indonesia. They specialise in Indie music but could play other genre as well. Overall, I would rate their performance a good 8/10. I hope they make it real big someday! :)

After listening/watching to 3 performances from "BangkuTaman", we decided to make a move to the merlion across the bridge. Upon reaching, we were surprised to hear the music being played at the waterfront, very clearly! In fact, it's way better than being at the exact location. Haha! If we knew, we would have made our way to the merlion earlier. Anywho, after we walked around for a bit, we decided to chill at The Coffee Bean while sipping down some cool ice blended drinks. Trust me, nothing beats lazing around on their comfyyyy sofa! Hahahaha... Soon enough, we have to call it a day but boy, what a fulfilling day it was! Thanx Iz & Huz! ;)

Latest Acquisition - Marc by Marc Jacobs

Ever since I got to know about the sideline of Marc Jacobs called Marc by Marc Jacobs, I fell in love with a few of their items (mostly bags) and would love to own as many item as I could as it's more affordable than MJ. Haha! I'm also particularly drawn to the "Special Items" range. While Singapore have a couple of MBMJ stores, none of them stocks the "Special Items"! I really wonder why? I would have snapped up most of things in a heartbeat if they do! But fret not, there's always Ebay, remember? :P

Yes, thank god for Ebay, I finally got my first MBMJ "Special Items"! More like just one item. Haha! As per any other labels, everyone usually start with an entry level item, no? :P So yeah, this time I only got the ever popular MBMJ Keyring. It still meant a whole lot to me though! :) Oh yeah, the item is brand new as the owner have never used it after acquiring it from the States. How cool, right? Weeee~~

Obviously this will not be the last time I'm getting something from MBMJ. I'm saving up first so that I can splurge the next time round. Haha! Meanwhile, I'll keep on browsing the Ebay site to see what else I can "snap". Till then! ;)

P/S: Anyone heard of Jacobs by Marc Jacobs for Marc by Marc Jacobs? Wonder what their items look like... Hehe!

Latest Acquisition - GUESS

Ebay must be the greatest online shopping site, ever! Hahahaha. Just a few days back, I found yet another gem! It's a funky GUESS Hobo bag which is still in a pristine condition (only tried on by previous owner). :D I believe she got the bag from a sale or something but that aside, I only paid SGD50 for it. Where else can one get such an awesome deal?! Hehe... ;)

Now, U may be wondering why I bought a ladies bag, right? Hahaha. Obviously the bag is not for me! :P It's actually meant as a little gift for my relative staying in Jakarta. She's been wanting another GUESS bag ever since the one and only Guess bag she had, was snatched away by thieves while she was walking towards her MPV, a few months back. GEE! How scary can Jakarta be? Oh wells. So, with a lot empathy, I've decided to give this bag to her so that she doesn't have to fork out a whole lot for another bag from the stores. Possibility of the new bag being snatched away again is still there so what's the point of getting a first hand item, no? Hehe. Then again, it all boils down to the way one handle the bag while walking. Alertness is very much required! ;)

Anywho, here's pictures of the bags. Yay or Nay? :P

P/S: Call yourself lucky to be staying in a safe country like Singapore!!! :D

Tiffany's Cafe & Restaurant @ Furama City Centre

Every single year, my family never fail to dine out on special occasions such as (and more commonly) Birthdays and Mothers' Day. Although there are tonnes of other things we can do to commemorate the day, we never really explore the possibilites as we only believe in "celebrating it with good food". Hehe! We're typical that way. :P Why not anyways? We're food lover and to be able to indulge in all the good food as we grew older, is truly a blessing. :) I'm kinda wondering do we eat to live or live to eat? Hahaha...

Anywho, today something along the same line took place once again. It's Mothers' Day in case you've forgotten. ;) Hehe. This time, it wasn't quite tough for me to pick out an eatery. Ever since I saw the post on Sharie's blog mentioning about the good food Tiffany's Cafe @ Furama City Centre has got to offer, I've always wanted to check it out myself. I'm a big fan of international buffet so it's quite impossible for me to give this restaurant a total miss. Haha. Furthermore, they were having an irresistable promotion! 1-for-1 is the name. Go figure. :P

Guess what? I'm extremely disappointed... NOT! Hahaha. Tiffany's Cafe rocks!!! Ok I do have to admit though that the choice of delicacies may be limited but who the hell cares when what's served taste heavenly? Beyond heavenly, in fact. Hehe! Paired with excellent service from the waiters, that's it, I rest my case... :P It was a really great experience for all of us. One look from the exterior, no one would have thought that this "vintage hotel" has a TDF gem on the inside. Never judge a book by it's cover, ok? ;) Hehe.

We ate as much as we could and after spending a total of two hours in the restaurant, we finally made our way out, very much bloated. The bill really shocked me coz I've never expected it to be extremely affordable. Haha! Totally worthit. Weeeee~ Now, if U haven't been to Tiffany's Cafe & Restaurant, call them up ASAP to make a reservation and sample the delicacies for yourself. Satisfaction guaranteed. Btw, do ask about their special promotion too coz if memory serves me right, it should last till July. So what U waiting for??? :D
