No Surprise

"But I know in time we'll find this was no surprise..."

Haha yes! I'm referring to me being home once again. :P No surprise isn't it that I'm on MC again? It's been 6 weeks now. Problem is, this time round, the issue is not about me. It's between the SAF MO and CGH Doctor. Well, it's too long to explain and I also can no longer be bothered so whatever. If U really want to know, then ask me. Hehe! Anywho, up till now, there's no news about me being Out Of Training and have to Recourse so I leave it all to the Commander. I may talk things out with him soon. While I know it's unfair to the rest of the guys who have went through the tough days, I still feel that a Recourse for me would be pointless because what if I keep on getting MC once again? Haha. Well, we'll just see what's the "final verdict" after my POC... :) For now, I'm going to have a rest and I really hope to recover fully, ASAP.

Not Feeling Well, Yet...

Just an update on my health condition. Well, in short, I'm a little stressed out as whenever I feel somewhat better, the very next moment, I'll be under the weather again! I've heard from countless of people who have had tonsilitis before, that the illness will not go away soon enough even though one have swallowed down more medicine than they can. So the big question is, when will all this end?

To add more salt to the wound would be the Tamiflu! I took it religiously twice a day for the past weekday (just for prevention) and the side effects were killing me! I can't believe a medicine that is supposed to be good and protect someone from the major illness, can make one be even more stressed out! Furthermore, I'll be even more worried now because a friend told me that if I've taken Tamiflu but not diagnosed with H1N1, then there's a high chance that the medicine may not be effective the next time I take it - IF I'm really down with H1N1 (touchwood). OMG!!! So why did the doctor prescribe me Tamiflu, then? Hmmm...

I'll be booking in to camp, once again, tomorrow. Will I be able to book in? Will my temperature be at an all time high again? Will I feel better in camp? Will I get sent home again for at least 3 days? Will I this and that? So many questions are running through my head right now. I feel more sick now thinking about it. Sigh... God knows why he gave me this test... But I really wish to know the reason, now... :(

Geylang

Staying at home every single day doing nothing but sleep most of the time can be really "torturous" for me. Hehehe! I needed some fresh air badly, thus, I decided to go for a spin earlier (I still need to master my driving skills! :P). Well, even though I only went to Geylang (of all places), it was still a good experience. :) I think I'm more confident in driving, now... :) Anywho, here are some pictures of the lightups and bazaar @ Geylang...

Have u went round the bazaar? I think everything is just the same year after year. I'm so bored of it! Can't they for once have something different?! Geee... But then, it's not Hari Raya in Singapore without all those, no? Oh wells... Hehe!

Declan Galbraith

"Declan John Galbraith (born 19 December 1991, Hoo St Werburgh, Kent) is an English singer of Irish and Scottish origin. Although he is a British citizen and singer, Declan is more famous and well known abroad. The extent of his fame is widest in Germany where most of his albums were promoted, his songs recorded and videos made. His first album in Germany had soon sold 200,000 copies within the year of release..." - Wikipedia

Woots! Isn't this just amazing, for a very young guy? How I wish my life is just as successful, if not better. Oops! Hehe... But nah, it will just be a dream for me... :P Anywho, I wanna share with U guys three of his famous songs which I immediately fell in love with, the moment I heard it on Youtube. Beginning his career from a tender age of only 10 years old, Declan is now 17+ years old and is still singing. From what I read on his forum, he is in the midst of preparing his latest album. I wish him all the best coz I feel, he really have a good voice. What do U think? ;) (Notice the voice change throughout the 3 videos. Don't U just HATE puberty? Hehehe...)

Acute Tonsilitis

Hola! Surprised to see me in the comfort of my home? Hehehe. Well, that's because, I'm on MC once again and this time round, it's a freaking 5 days!!! :P Yeps, this is all due to me being down with Acute Tonsilitis. :( I was supposed to book in back to camp yesterday but I was feeling super down so I decided to do a quick check at Changi General Hospital, instead. Turns out, I was diagnosed with the illness and was given the MC so that I can really rest at home. As if I haven't been resting at home all these while, no? Hahaha...

I have no idea how I got this illness but what I know is, all these while, I've already had the symptoms like fever/cough/headache/sore throat and so on. But, instead of linking the symptoms to my current illness, everyone simply said (the doctors in camp especially) that I may have H1N1. Thus, I'm always sent back home (quarantine for a week) and even had to do the nasal swab, twice! I really see those moves as unnecessary. True, it's just a precautionary measure but how can someone develop the symptoms over and over? There must be something else that is wrong, no? Teehee...

So yeah, kudos to the doctor at CGH who managed to look beyond everything and spotted the real illness I'm currently down with. I'm really relieved to know everything. At least, I'm no longer guessing whether I have H1N1 or what nots. Hehe. Still, I believe my immune system is still not that good so I will take care of myself and consume all the medicine prescribed. Weird thing is, even though I'm not down with H1N1, I still have to take Tamiflu which I really dread. There are soooo many side effects, ok! God... we'll see how it all goes... Pray for my speedy recovery, ya'll! Thanx. :)

Finger Lickin' Good!

Hola everyone! For those of U who are fasting, how's your first day of Ramadhan, so far? Mine is just good. I don't feel a little bit tired or hungry. Then again, that's due to the fact that I'm only resting at home for almost the whole day! Hehehe. I only went out for a short while to have my hair trimmed at the barber and that's about it. Anywho, what did U have for break fast, today? I decided to treat my family, a KFC meal! :)

I was pretty sure that many other Muslim family order KFC for their break fast too, so I wasn't really expecting a speedy delivery. But as they say it, expect the unexpected. Hehe! I was told by the operater that my order would arrive in an hour's time but guess what? It came in just half an hour (in time with break fast)! How quick was that?! Haha. Thank god for all the delicacies... :) So here's what we had;

Tentatively, today will be the "only day" I get to eat my pre dawn meal and break fast together with my family. Tomorrow onwards till the next weekend, I'll be in camp once again. That is, if I'm not being sent home yet another time. Haha! Still, I don't think it will affect me much. It's just like any other day, no? ;) So yeah, till then... take good care and happy fasting! :D

P/S: Can U believe that I've already started to place orders for the Hari Raya cookies? Hehehehe...

Ramadan Al Mubarak

Once again, the fasting month is here. I take this opportunity to wish all Muslims a very blessed Ramadan Al Mubarak. May all of you stay in the best of health and may all your deeds/prayers be accepted by Allah The Almighty. Insya'allah, Amin!

Remember to say your "niat" before you sleep, each night! ;)

Haifa Wehbe

Yeps, my "obsession" over this gorgeous Lebanese singer has not faded a single bit even though it's been more than 3 years since I first knew her existence, through Youtube. Haha! Well, that's also due to the fact that she is still popular till today, even after her marriage! It's nice to know that she's in the midst of recording her latest album. I really look forward to the release. ;) It seems like, all the songs she sings will be popular sooner or later. Cool, right? Haha! Ok, here are some of her latest pictures (first 5 only), taken from various sources (mostly Haifafans.net). Enjoy them! :D

I wonder when Haifa will really cover up and not only in pictures, like the ones below... Hehe! :P

Book In

Yeps, once again, it's time for me to book in back to Tekong. I have no idea what my week ahead would be like but I hope it would be just fine. I'm actually feeling a little under the weather but hopefully, it won't affect me much. I fear going to the Medical Centre continuously. Everyone knows my face by now. Haha! Oh wells... all the best to me! Take care everyone. Cya when I cya~~~ ;)

Mad Jack Cafe

Contrary to popular belief that the food served in camp is "tasteless", "boring" and almost "non-edible", I find them to be good and appetising! Haha. My only complain would be the big portion. More often than not, I will throw away at least 1/4 of my meal. Gee, what a waste, no? Luckily we're not forced to finish up to the last drop! I'll probably puke at each meal if that were to happen. Haha! :P

Anywho, as much as I can consume the food given in camp, I still prefer to indulge in real good food, outside. Common, I guess? Hehe. So today, me and family headed out to Simpang Bedok once again in search of a good eatery. We just went to Sedap Corner like last month or so, thus, it's impossible for us to head there again. We thought of just eating at the "coffee shops" but I wanted something different... So fussy, right? Hahaha... So guess what? We ended up at Mad Jack Cafe, eventually! :D

I knew Mad Jack Cafe existed for quite some time now but I never ever dine there as their outlets are located at "hard to reach" areas. One prominent outlet is at Paradiz Centre (near Dhoby Ghaut?) but isn't it more than a chore to travel all the way there just to eat a decent meal? Hehe. So now that I know they have an outlet at Simpang Bedok as well, I may just drop by often as I'm in love with their menu and super affordable price! ;)

Even though it's our first time dining in the cafe, we didn't had much trouble with ordering as everything in the menu is clearly printed to make customers understand better. :) Soon enough, everything that we ordered arrive and we began indulging almost instantly. Haha! The food were not only superb, it's also quite healthy. Most dishes are served with fruits and salads. There's also a variety of fruit juice to go along with the meal. Anywho, these were what we had...

So overall, do U think me and family were satisfied with the food? Of course we were! Just look at our happy faces!!! Hahahaha... Good food with good ambience really makes my day... Weeeee~~~

Quick Night Out

Soon after I book out yesterday, I made a plan to hang out with Iz, even for a short while. Apart from missing him (bleargh!), I also wanted to clarify some matters pertaining to BMT. A whole lot of clarifications, to be precise. Hehe! I'm so glad my bestie went through everything first so at least he can guide me along. Even though our Company in Tekong is extremely near to each other, we rarely, almost never see each other so it's impossible to ask him directly about anything while I'm in camp. Text messaging works but U know, the reply is not instant. Hahahaha!

So where else can we head to if not Orchard? :P Since we both have been wanting to check out ION Orchard, we immediately headed there upon our arrival. Hehe. I'm truly impressed with ION. The most impressive part must be the 4th Basement! How many metres deep, is that?! Gee, Singapore can really go all out with shopping malls, no? Haha. Apart from the basement, I'm also impressed with the fact that there's a couple of "new boutiques" in Singapore. 7 for All Mankind, Christian Audiger, Steve Madden, Dianne Von Furstenberg, the list just goes on and on. How cool is this?! Singapore has totally changed. It's now a true shopping haven! Hehehe...

Well, obviously being a big fan of Louis Vuitton, me & Iz didn't pass on the opportunity to enter the 2 storey boutique to check out for ourselves what LV have to offer. We're really blowned away by the extensive shoe and ready to wear collection and we're also in lvoe with the bags and accesories for sure. Haha. I was so captivated till I leave the boutique empty handed.... NOT! :P But, I'm not gonna reveal what's in the bag. It's not as big and as expensive as U may think. In fact, I feel it's a crazy splurge but I love it nonetheless. Still, I have second thinking of letting it go to a more deserving owner (aka auctioning off @ eBay)... Oops!

After the great tour round ION, we headed to Ngee Ann City to have some McD for late dinner and then headed to Paragon's Coffee Bean to chill the night away. We reached home past midnight but I guess, it was all worthit... Haha! Weeeee~~~

Niz

Basic Military Training Life

Hooray! Yesterday, I finally booked out together with the rest of my Company. Hahahaha! I know it's not fair to them because they spent much more time in camp as compared to me but still, there's no valid reason to confine me, right? Hehe. :P So, ever since I went back to camp on Wednesday (after a week of MC), I've went through a lot. Apparently, the training is now at the progressing stage whereby a lot of things will be taught every single day and we just have to memorise them all.

Initially, I really really have a tough time to adapt because everything is new to me and I felt super duper lost but eventually, I managed to control the situation and went along with the rest. The bad side is, I'm still kinda reserved so I rarely ask around but I told myself that if I were to make it through BMT, I must keep on questioning and correcting what's wrong so that I won't suffer or make others suffer (if U know what I mean).

Now, my presence in camp is acknowledged by the whole Platoon and my Section espcially but, accepting wise, I think there's still a long way to go. I know they cannot accept me there because all along, I've either been away or bearing the status of "light duties only" so simply put, I still haven't suffer that much. In fact, up till today, I still haven't touched the rifle and many other stuffs so that's probably why everyone kinda treat me differently. While it's not really in my face, I still can feel it and my feelings are always true. Furthermore, I've heard a couple of sarcastic remarks from some really non-understanding people but I just brush it off. I mean, there's no point to take what they say to heart because I know myself better, right? Come what may, I'm just gonna face it all and think about myself first before anything...

Sometimes, I wish my luck is a little better but I strongly believe, there's a reason behind everything. Probably, this is just one of the test from God for me and HE knows I can still take it. I would be so kidding if I say I never feel like breaking down at any point of time but I can't afford to break down. I'd rather go on the tough way and receiving any kind of treatments rather than adding more burden for myself later on. Well, this is "MY" BMT life...

Back To Tekong!

Yups, if U haven't known by now, I have actually been on one 1 week MC yet again since last Wednesday. I don't feel like explaining everything once again coz I'm still pissed off at some parties but come what may. I will just face it all... Sigh... Anywho, yeah, I will be back in camp again today and I just hope everything will be fine... Pray for me, everyone! Loads of thanx... :)
