Latest Album

I think ALL avid fan of Dato' Siti Nurhaliza already knew that she just released her latest album on the 9th of September, right? For those who don't, now U know. Haha! The album is entitled Tahajjud Cinta and from what I can gather, it's a kinda religious/spiritual album. Correct me if I'm wrong. Anywho, I'm not really an avid fan of Siti but I do listen to her songs and even liked some. From this album, so far from what I heard on Youtube, I think that the most outstanding song must be Asma Ul Husna. It's a song which mentions all Allah's 99 names. I feel that this genre is a good change for Siti. Listen to the song and tell me what U think, aite? :)

Retail Therapy

I guess everyone knows that I'm crazy about retail therapy, no? Haha. It's my most favourite pastime and I will never ever get bored of it. My concept of retail therapy is usually buying stuffs and not just window shopping but I guess, it also have to depend on the budget. Hehe. I don't care what I buy but as long as I buy something, I will be extremely euphoric. Yeah I'm insane like that. :P Hehehe...

So yesterday, I once again went out with Vernon who is also crazy about retail therapy even though he doesn't really show it. Haha. It's just great to know someone who shares the same passion. He's been following me shopping for a couple of months now. Geeee. Hehe. So as usual, we went to Orchard. We started off from ION then we headed to Isetan Scotts, DFS, Far East Plaza, Tangs, Lucky Plaza, Paragon and finally, Ngee Ann City. Hahaha! Of course we picked up some stuffs along the way. ;) Oh yeah, all the places were covered in only a few hours! From 12pm-6pm to be exact. Hehe!

Even though we practically see the same thing over and over at Orchard, we somehow never got bored of it. In fact, we can stil cherish each moment. Haha! So wateva I know. :P Still, overall, we had a good time and that's what matters. Now, what did I manage to bag home? Well, there's a couple of stuffs but the major one would be the following scents. I was in desperate need for new perfumes... Hehe! Alrighty, till the next Retail Therapy! ;)

What a nice date, right? How I wish something great were to happen to me today but since there isn't any, I'm just publishing this simple post to remind myself that I lived to see this lovely day. The next one will be on 10/10/10 but will I get the chance to see it? Only time will tell... ;)

Pass Out Ceremony

So, yesterday was the day I failed passed out from Basic Military Training Centre (School) 2 located on Pulau Tekong. It's the day where I'm supposed to be full of joy and also felt a great sense of achievement but sadly, I don't. Yes, I'm happy I'm out from my little "hell" but the hell I went through is nothing as compared to other recruits from my company and those alike. At one point of time, I felt like I don't even deserve to go out. Strange, right? Haha. I mean, I know where I stand. But, things happen, no? If only I can turn back time... Still, whatever that happened doesn't matter anymore. The future is what matters...

Now, I'm still waiting for my posting out result. Yeah, despite failing my BMT and having to recourse at a later time, I still have to be posted out to a unit first and the process is very much the same like any other recruits. No one is sure what the future is like for them. I just hope for the best and I really want to do well this time round. No matter where I'm posted (not that I have a choice, right?), I have to adapt and perform well. Everyone at the unit will know that I've failed my BMT due to tonnes of Att C so I musn't give them the impression that I'm a "chao keng king" or something. I must prove them wrong. Hehe. Majority of the people in my company knew why I'm always on Att C but the new people don't. So yeah...

For now, I'm gonna put aside everything about National Service and just enjoy my 2 weeks blocked leave. I really want to make full use of this short leave. :D

Beloved Bags

Seeing that I have some spare time at home yesterday, I decided to do a little "spring cleaning". Haha. I'm sure all of U know that I'm a bag lover, no? Yes, I do have my mini bag collection and I love every single piece in there. But sadly, off late, I haven't been carrying most of them and I also realise that each time I need to carry a bag out, I would end up carrying just a select few. I don't really rotate the usage of all my bags anymore. So I guess, it goes without saying that I have to let go of some of my bags, right? Hehe.

It's a really tough decision for me as I really felt sad having to part with some of my bags. To me, each bag has a story to tell as I'm not someone who purchase something for the sake of purchasing. I got all my bags either because I really need them or it's just a matter of pure love. Hehe! So, I spent quite some time going through each piece over and over and finally, I managed to select the top 10 bags that I am going to keep (for now that is). Any other pieces will have to go by whatever means. Here are the top 10 bags:

The "to go" pieces have already been sorted out. Some pieces will be given away to my relatives in Batam while the rest will be listed at eBay so that I can make some quick bucks. Hehe! As I've always been "taking" the bags from eBay, I think it's about time I "give" back my bags too. :P Good idea, no? Hehehe. While I'm not expecting much out of the mini sale, I just hope that the bags listed would go to the hands of a better owner. Someone who could treasure them much more than I do... Hehe! For all who are curious to know what bags are on sale, just click the link "My Ebay" at the side column. Who knows U may be interested? Hehehe. Thanks in advance! :)

P/S: Go figure all the top 10 bags. Hehehe... ;)

IKEA Home Furnishings

Ever since our last major purchase from IKEA last year, me and mom have been addicted to their furnishings. Every so often, we would just go round IKEA Tampines to look at what they have to offer. Of course every single time, we would be attracted to a couple of pieces which could probably fit in well in our home. Then again, we didn't buy anything on impulse. We measured everything thoroughly, time and again, so that our purchase won't be meaningless.

For a long time, mom have been considering to get a new working table. She needs to put all her sewing machines and what nots in her room so she wants everything to be more organised. Temporarily, she's using my old computer table but that piece is almost 10 years old now so it definitely is giving way. It's really about time we do a major overhaul to her room, anyways. Haha. So yeah... finally, we purchased the most inexpensive (only SGD39) yet certainly is the most suitable table, for mom's room. :) Presenting the VIKA Amon Table Top (in white) & Vika Curry Leg (in black) which forms the VIKA Amon/Curry Working Table (pic for illustration purpose only)... ;)

Also, to display mom's countless bags, we bought the FLARKE Book Shelf and placed it nicely behind the bedroom door. Yes, the door can only be opened at an angle now, but, it's more than sufficient for anyone to enter. Anyways, I'm the biggest in the house so if I can go through, nothing else matters. Hehehe! Guess what? We didn't actually get the book shelf directly from IKEA. As usual, I turned to eBay and got a very sweet deal! Hehe. The book shelf was used only for a while by the previous owner but she decided to change to a bigger piece, so she sold it off to me at only SGD20 (of course I have to pick it up from her residence but it's more than worthit)! The original retail price is definitely way higher. Weeee~ I loooove IKEA and I loooove eBay! Hahaha... :)

Latest Acquisition - Agnes B.

Oh yeah, while I was going round Raffles City yesterday, I decided to drop by Agnes B. to check out if they have new badges for sale. Of course they do! Hahaha. When I learnt that the price is just about the same as my other badges, I immediately told the SA that I wanted it. She was kinda shocked because I really didn't even think twice. I was actually too excited for no reason. To cover myself, I told her that I collect the badges (which I really do) so I didn't want to pass on the rare moment to acquire the latest badge. Surprisingly, the simple and cheap things seem to sell out more quickly than I know... Hehe!

While I was waiting for the SA to pack the badge nicely, I was approached by another SA who requested me to fill in a feedback card. I was happy to do so! At least my feedback counts. Hehe! Obviously I have only good things to say about Agnes B. The item they carry is beyond heavenly and their service is just superb (at all boutiques/branches). So yeah... after collecting my item and putting in the feedback card into a lovely black box, I bid farewell to the SAs while they continuously thanked me. Lovely, right? As if I've just spent thousands in there! Hahaha... Wonder what treatment will I get if I really do spend that much? Teehee~ Btw, these are the badges that I currently have. I still want to add more! :D

Latest Acquisition - ck Calvin Klein

YES YES YES! I finally got a Calvin Klein bag! Hahahaha... I've been longing for one, actually. Everytime I enter the CK boutique... I will definitely try on the wide variety of bags but then leave empty handed. Hehehe. Well, it's not that I can't afford any, it's just that I do not want to splurge so much on a bag. :P Everyone knows when I want something, I want it dirt cheap. Haha! Well, with eBay, my dream will no longer be just a dream as it can be realised. This is why I'm sooooooooo in love with eBay! :D

So yeah... I was just browsing through the many CK bags listed on eBay, a couple of days back, and my sight was immediately glued to this one huge-ass bag which has a really low starting bid. Initially, I thought the bag would be too big for me and all but the more I think about it, the more I wanted it. I even waited almost a day before placing my bid just to see whether images of the bag will keep on appearing in my head. It sure does! ;) Hahaha. So yeah... fast forward till today, I finally acquired the bag! Met the very friendly and understanding seller @ CT Hall for COD. ;)

What's extremely sweet about this bag is obviously, the price! Remember, I won't pay if it's not real cheap! Hahaha. The original retail price of the bag was around SGD105
(bought from a SALE I reckon) but, the seller sold it off to me at only SGD40! That's SGD65 worth of savings! Best of all, the bag is almost new as the previous owner had only carried it around once or twice. Who cares? Hehe! Ultimate euphoria once again... Weeee~~~

P/S: The little mark U see at the bottom of the bag was already there when the owner bought it... or so he says... :P

Recourse

Sigh...... The verdict is out! The big question that I had for a couple of weeks now, is finally answered. Yesterday, my Commander informed that I have to recourse (aka go through BMT again), after I've posted out. My heart really sank so low at the point of time because I have been hoping not to recourse. I saw it as pointless and all. But then, my Commander (even Section Sargeant) said that I've got no choice. Furthermore, they thought to recourse is far more better than anything else. I was like, are U kidding me?! Oh wells... I know and everyone else know that forever being on Att C is never my wish BUT when I miss something, I really missed it. No amount of catching up will do so recourse seem to be the only solution...

Well, I'm glad that they will post me out first so at least I wouldn't need to go through the 7 weeks again, anytime soon. The Commander kind of assured me that the recourse should most probably take place, next year. While I'm not really taking his words, deep in me, I pray hard that it will be next year. I can't afford to go through everything again in a short period of time. Moreover, what if my condition is just about the same when I recourse, soon enough? Would I have to recourse one more time, then? Haha. Oh god... I'm already feeling sick thinking about this recourse thingy! :(

Ok recourse aside, I still have another big question that is yet to be answered. That is, regarding post out. Where will I go? What will I do? Will I survive, there? What if it's tougher? On and on the question goes... Haha! From what I've heard, unless one is really happy and could make do with the posting, then they'll really going to suffer. As in, despite disliking their chores, they still have to be forced to spend the rest of the two years doing it. Sucks, right? Sigh. I really pray I get posted out to the right place and have the right company. :( If I'm not mistaken, posting results will be revealed on the 18th of September, through the NS Portal. Hmmm... I'll surely update again when the time comes, yeah? ;)

Walking Away...

Im walking away from the troubles in my life
Im walking away oh to find a better day
Im walking away from the troubles in my life
Im walking away oh to find a better day
Im walking away

Sometimes some people get me wrong
When its something Ive said or done
Sometimes you feel there is no fun
Thats why you turn and run
But now I truly realise
Some people dont wanna compromise
Well I saw them with my own eyes spreading those lies
And well I dont wanna live my life too many sleepless nights

Not mentioning the fights Im sorry to say lady

Im walking away from the troubles in my life
Im walking away oh to find a better day
Im walking away from the troubles in my life
Im walking away oh to find a better day
Im walking away

Well Im so tired baby
Things you say youre driving me away
Whispers in the powder room baby
Dont listen to the games they play
Girl I thought youd realise
Im not like them other guys
Coz I saw them with my own eyes
You shouldve been more wise
And well I dont wanna live my life too many sleepless nights
Not mentioning the fights Im sorry to say lady

Im walking away from the troubles in my life
Im walking away oh to find a better day
Im walking away from the troubles in my life
Im walking away oh to find a better day
Im walking away

P/S: If only walking away could solve everything... instead, I'm walking in a circle... Go figure. Sigh!

September

My oh my, it's already September now? How quick is that?! Can't believe 3/4 of 2009 is almost gone! Hehe. Wow, 2009 is like the most memorable year for me. So many things happened and I'm sure more is on the way. Only thing is, I'm not sure if they're good or bad. Either way, I still have go through all of it, no? Hehe. How's 2009 so far for U guys?

Oh yeah, isn't 2009 the saddest year, too? So many people passed away! Apart from the big names like Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, Asri (Rabbani) and Yasmin Ahmad, countless of family and friends also left us for eternity. Just yesterday, mom received a news that one of her closest colleague passed away. Imagine the shock! A couple of days back she was just fine but the next moment, she's gone. Death's really unpredictable. We won't know when our time will be up. Sigh... this is scaring me. I know death is inevitable but I'm extremely sure I'm not ready for it. I still don't have enough good deeds to bring along to the next life...

Ok ok sad moments aside, let's look at the happier side. Haha! Counting down to Hari Raya, now. Only 20 more days to go!!! :D I don't know why I'm all excited about this year's Hari Raya. Probably due to the fact that this will be first time Granny is celebrating Hari Raya with me, at my home, and thus, I will receive a whole lot of visitors. People rarely drop by home in the past, ok! Hehehe... I'm so eager till I've already settled the decoration for most part of the home (curtain etc.) and also ordered mouth watering cookies to be savoured by the visitors... :P So don't forget to drop my home, this Hari Raya, ok? :D

Now, I leave U guys with some of my most favourite Hari Raya songs. Weeee~~~
