Terminal Three Tour (T3)
Hola there!
Finally, I came up with a successful impromptu plan! Trust me, I never had any successful ones before. Ok perhaps, just once or twice but that's with friends. My mom never want to give in to any of my impromptu plans. I was quite shocked when she finally gave in yesterday. Well, early in the morning, I was just browsing through the Terminal 3 guide that came together with the recent copy of 8 days. Suddenly, I felt like going there and eating at Popeyes. So, I told mom my plan and without hesitation, she said it's fine with her. I was like...is she for real? She was! :)
Thus, around 2pm, off we went to Terminal 3. Haha! Anyways, just for your info, it was my mom's off day. I guess that's why she wasn't reluctant. Moreover, there's not much household chores to be done. So yeah. We took the MRT and before long, we arrived at Terminal 3. We wasted no time. We immediately explored the Departure area. Well, since I have been to Terminal 3 back in November 2007, I acted like her tour guide for a bit. Haha! We both agreed that Terminal 3 is like a cross breed of Kuala Lumpur's and Jakarta's Airport. Haha! You would understand why if you've ever been to those two airports... ;)

We then went into all the retail shops to check out the things for sale. Most are familiar retailers thus it is affordable. Mom just can't resist buying a ring from Mini Bits. Haha! After going round, we went to the basement and headed straight for Popeyes. Had a scrumptious meal! I swear I love Popeyes more than KFC. If only there are outlets outside Terminal 2 & Terminal 3! Sigh...
We then went round the basement. Gosh, it looks similar to any shopping mall's basement! Talk about Singapore's trademark! There's Fairprice, Mr Bean, Watsons, Candy Empire... How familiar can this be to all Singaporeans? Unless they're that oblivious lah. Hehe. I went to Eu Yan Sang to look for dried longans coz I am craving for it but they only have the semi-dried ones and it's for cooking anyways. Sigh. I ended up buying dried peach and mango instead... Only $2+ each! Haha!
At around 5pm, we took the Skytrain and headed towards Terminal 2. Walked around for a bit again and then headed to Simei to buy supper. A good thing that there's a direct bus to my home from Simei. By taking service number 5, we were home in no time. Haha. Overall, the trip yesterday was worthit and enjoyable. Mom and me were both happy! :D
Regards, Niz
