What is that big hoohah u made just by owning the latest Limited Edition Louis Vuitton/Chanel/Hermes etc? U are still not rich enough if u can't afford this ridiculously priced, diamond-encrusted, evening bag! At USD1.9 million, it is currently the world's most expensive bag! Isn't it just gorgeous & stunning?
The bag is designed by the infamous Ginza Tanaka and is made of lustrous platinum. 2,182 diamonds (a total of 208 carats) were then intricately encrusted on it (mostly at the back). Useless as it seem, this bag is actually quite versatile! Well, the diamond shoulder strap can be removed and worn as a necklace or bracelet. Similarly, the 8-carat pear-shaped diamond (surrounded by 81 smaller cluster diamonds on the side of the bag) can be detached and worn as a brooch.
It is currently on sale but the bag has been dubbed as having "the shortest life possible". The winner may just carry or wear it for one evening and then toss it away for good. As a respectable socialite, oboviously they have this fear of "being caught wearing the same bag". Sad but that's the price to pay for being too rich, I suppose! :) I wish some museum bought it so that it can be displayed for eternity. Weeee!
