Kuala Lumpur Shopping Trip
DAY TWOI woke up quite early despite turning in late the previous night. After a refreshing hot bath, me & mom got ready and then headed straight for Saffron Brasserie to have our breakfast. Well, not much of a variety I must say but the food served were certainly delicious. Since our itinerary for the day was only to shop, we thought we only head out after noon. That was exactly what we did.
We decided to shop around the Bukit Bintang area. As such, we again took the Rapid KL from Plaza Rakyat to Hang Tuah station before changing to the monorail where we then alighted at the Bukit Bintang station. We were quite lost initially but figured our way with the help of a kind officer at the station.
Upon reaching Bukit Bintang, I was amazed to see the endless shopping malls all around. I instantly went nuts! Haha. The whole area is truly a replica of Orchard Road. Heck, there's even Pavilion which is almost a carbon copy of Paragon! :) I was so excited. Mom couldn't be bothered. I just told her to get her Visa card ready! Haha! :P First stop, Pavilion for sure. OMG I've never seen a Coach boutique as big and grand before. Singapore only have small stores. It felt like I'm in the States! :D
As it was a weekday, the whole shopping mall was fairly empty. I really love the ambience! After all, the Mega Sale haven't started and there were only a few pre-sales happening here and there. Even so, mom & me still managed to grab some goodies from our all time favourite label, Bonia & Sembonia! :D Mom also bought a pair of shoe @ Voir. The rate was SGD1=RM2.36 so everything was a good deal for us. Haha!
After spending a good two hours in the mall, we then crossed over to Starhill Gallery. I couldn't resist snapping a picture in front of the enormous Louis Vuitton boutique. I wish I had the money to purchase something from there! :( Still, seeing the boutique in real life was enough for me. Look, Singapore doesn't have all these! Someone should really revamp all the high end label boutiques in Singapore. Give them the limelight they deserve! Kudos Kuala Lumpur. Hahahaha! :D
The sky was still cloudy when we were walking towards Lot 10. It's nice to see the Twin Tower partially covered by the thick clouds. Haha. Suddenly, mom felt quite hungry. I was too actually. Mom was thinking of eating at somewhere "cheap" but we ended up @ Coffee Bean. Sheesh! What an excuse, I know! :P We had Chicken Pie & Sandwich while sipping down a cool Caramel Coffee Ice Blend. Weeee! :)
It's hard to leave Bukit Bintang but we just had to. Otherwise, mom would have swiped her Visa non stop. Dangerous!! Haha. Took a couple of final shots before heading back to the Bukit Bintang station. Since we still had some more time to spare, we decided to go shopping @ Berjaya Times Square. We could walk there but mom find it far so we took the monorail and alighted at Imbi station. Wow, the monorail must be the most efficient form of transportation in KL! :)
At BTS, I found nothing interesting as it's just like Wisma but mom went nuts searching for clothes in Metrojaya. Haha! Every single piece is stunning. She really had a hard time deciding which is which but I'm glad she finally purchased four blouses. I believe she could have purchased more but she was just controlling the urge. Haha. The price tags may be cheap for us Singaporean but I wonder how does the Malaysian survive? The cheapest there is already RM40 and it stretches all the way to RM200 for just a simple blouse. Sheesh. After feeling so exhausted from all the shopping, we headed back to the hotel to rest. I bought some eclairs, tarts, puffs and cakes from Saffron Brasserie only to find the taste awful! It sure does look tempting from the display case, though. What a waste of RM12! Sigh. At around 8pm, we felt hungry once again and headed to Nando's to have a nice dinner. I say, the concept is very much similar to that of Kenny Roger's but the price is a wee bit lower. Simply sumptuous!
To end of the night, mom & me went to Petaling Street once again. I thought I wouldn't be spending again but I was so wrong. I bought a nice watch for myself at such an unbelievable price. Hehe. I was too happy! It was already 11pm when we got back to our hotel room. We immediately packed our luggages. It was a difficult task as there were so many items to be packed! It just sucks to have a medium-sized luggage. I need a large or even an extra large luggage for a shopping trip! Haha! ;D*End of Day Two*
