Reliving The Moments...
Woohoo! Finally, I get to meet my BF once again. WHAT? BoyFriend?! No No No... it's Best Friend! :) Erms, been 8 years and counting? Haha. Yeah man, it has been quite some time since I last went out with him ONLY. Every other time, Huz will definitely tag along. I have no issues with that but I just miss the good old days when it's only me & Iz hanging out practically anywhere in Singapore. Hehe. Thus, I contacted Iz two days back, asking if he can make it for dinner somewhere and he actually agreed! Woah! He's a busy man nowadays U see... :P Busy with what, Iz? T to the E to the N to the N I S! LMAO! :DSo yeah... it all started with a supposedly "unique timing" meetup. Iz somehow suggested 2.22pm and I couldn't agree more. Sadly, none of us arrived on time. Instead, we co-incidentally arrive at the same time, a couple of minutes later. Gee! Immediately after meeting, we board the MRT to Bugis. Where else could we go if not Bugis Junction? Haha. It also has been quite some time since I last visited BJ...When we arrived @ BJ, the first thing I wanted to check out real bad was the basement coz I read somewhere that the refurbishment works were completed not too long ago. Guess what? It's just awesome! I'm so impressed with the revampment! It's neither vibrant nor subtle. The ambience is just perfect. Weeee! Oh yeah, best of all, there were a couple more Halal certified "stalls" so Muslim patrons can be spoiled for choice too! Hehe. :)After briefly checking things out, me & Iz headed straight for Seoul Garden for a wayyyy too early dinner. I rather it be called late lunch since it was only 3pm or so. Hmmm... Anyways, each person need to pay ONLY $14+! Affordable, no? That's the plus side of being a student. Hehe! ;) We were given TWO hours to indulge which in my opinion, is just nice. There was not a need to rush or really drag the whole eating process. :)
"Mmmmm... this looks nice! Let me get it."
Some of the pre-cooked food. Essential to fill up the tummy slightly before the real indulging begins... ;)
It was on a very high heat and as a result, things went popping out of the grill. Freaky!
Iz struggling to lower down the heat... LOL! :D
Finally, time to indulge! Pose first though... ;)
If Iz can pose, so can Niz! HUH?!
Iz's retro moment...
Niz's retro moment...
The juicy clams made me went nuts!
The aftermath ya'll! But, this is just the first round... HAHA! :D After the hearty meal @ Seoul Garden, I decided to walk around Bugis Junction. I went into a few stores and I swear I had a hard time controlling the urge to splurge. I don't think I can ever window shop. Argh! It's either shop till I drop or no form of shopping at all for me. Gosh! Must learn how to really control, no? Miraculously though, the phrase "Buy what U need & NOT what U want" kept playing in my mind but, even that is not enough to make me change my mindset. Sheesh. Still, guess what? I eventually managed to control the urge and I proudly walk out of BHG (Be Here for Good things) Deparmental Store empty handed. HAHAHAHA! Iz, remember "Rush"? Aiyah, U know I know lah... *winks*As if I'm not tortured enough by the sight of goodies (which I just can't get my hands on) at Bugis, I still went ahead with my crazy idea of walking round Orchard Road. I really have no clue what was in my mind at that juncture. Perhaps I just wanted to waste time. Even so, Orchard must be the most worst place for someone who is on the verge of going "broke", like me. A whole lot of things were to my liking but I had ZERO Purchasing Power. Sad, huh?! *sob*To regain my mood which has fallen way beneath the deepest sea (whatever that means), me & Iz decided to chill @ the (Halal certified) Coffee Bean. I wanted Starbucks badly but Iz just had to mention that it's not Halal. Gosh! Hehe. We had a Caramel Coffee Ice Blend each alongside a *dry* Mudpie. I actually wanted a Quiche badly but I feel the price tag doesn't quite justify the quantity at all! Haha.
I think we slacked around for almost half an hour. Apart from chit-chatting, as usual, we camwhored a little. Still, I couldn't bring myself to "make faces" in the cafe. It was fairly empty and the staffs always gave a curious glance at us. What? Can't guys take tonnes of pictures? Hahahaha! In the end, I can't be bothered by the many pairs of glancing eyes and continued with whatever I wanted to do... :)
Next stop, is none other than Paragon's Washroom! I've loved it all these while! That is one place I usually never fail to visit when I'm in Paragon, apart from M&S and Muji that is. Hahahaha! Any sane person would really fall in love with their Emerald Green walls. Luxurious! Soon after, me & Iz parted ways. He took a bus home while I continued to walk alone at Ngee Ann City just to pass more time. At around 9pm, I headed off to Vivocity to meet mom. That basically concludes my Thursday... ;DP/S: Thanx a Million for the meet up, Iz! I bet the next time I'm meeting U is during the fasting month. We'll think of a nice place to break fast, yeah? Till then! ;)Regards,Niz
