The Singapore Garden Festival
By nature, I am not really a "green" person. I don't do gardening, I never really appreciate the value of a plant and many more. Simply said, I took all those greenery for granted. But, with my first visit to such festival yesterday, the experience acts as an eye opener to me. Who says planting/gardening is so boring? Learn how to create a landscape and *tada*... U got a wonderful garden for yourself. Awesome or what? Haha!
  Still, if my mom didn't force me to tag along, I wouldn't have even set foot in Suntec City Convention Centre. Haha! Luckily I agreed to follow. Wait a minute! If not for the competition my mom took part in, I don't think she would have visited the festival either! Gah! Anywho, I just had a great time there. Surprisingly, everything is beyond my expectation. I love it! :)
   Oh yeah, thanx a million to my grandma's friend's daughter. LMAO! She works there and as such, she kinda "slow talked" with the organizer's staffs to let us all in FREE OF CHARGE! I was beyond euphoric. Well, the ticket isn't that costly but if one can save, why waste? Hahahaha! OMG. Talk about the 'kiasuism' of Singaporean! :P We wasted no time in touring the exhibition both at level 4 and 6. Heavenly!
     Soon, it was time for my mom's competition. By then I had to make a move. Luckily that daughter of my grandma's friend agreed to snap some pictures during the competition. Hahaha! Oh yeah, congratulations mom for getting 2nd place. That SGD300 NTUC Voucher earned will be very much useful! Heh! :D By the way, my grandma was smart! She did not put in a whole lot of effort as she knew that eventually, she will also get SGD100 NTUC Voucher as a consolation price. Hehe! Overall, it was just a nice experience for me, mom and grandma! ;)
    P/S: NEVER take a cab from Suntec to Sengkang during peak period! It cost me a whopping SGD25. Why so? The extra costs come from the surcharges! But, the ERP charges really made me go mad! Imagine, TWO gantries on the same road and is located within a short distance! One is SGD1, the other is SGD1.50. Gosh, what is the meaning of all this?! Arrrgh!Regards,Niz
