Anglia Apparels
  "Anglia explores the vivacity of the fashion world and infuses it into the Islamic community without infringing the modesty and decorum befitting of a Muslim lady. The primary focus is to establish Anglia as a chic Muslimah fashion label of today. This is a revolution which not only gives a Muslim lady more choices besides the typical variations that have been around for decades, it also allow the fashionista in every woman to morph and project themselves through the clothes they adorn. We are not targeting to be the haute couture of this industry; we want to produce apparels for the masses, regardless of status or age. We want to create a revolution, an opportunity for all Muslim women to indulge in the latest fashion, styles and trends without being inhibited by doubts because we are here as a Muslim for another Muslim. To be embellished in pleasing garb and adorned with humility, makes one a resplendent Muslimah"Now, isn't that just awesome? I really love their motto & vision. Simply perfect for the modern and fahionable Muslim lady. Do U know that Anglia has existed in Singapore since many years back? They are accepted till today coz their fresh & unique concept still appeals to many. Well, that includes me and mom too! ;) Hehe. Initially, Anglia starts off with only female apparels but more recently, various male and kids apparels have been added to their boutiques. Apart from that, they also have franchisees who carry a more modern range of apparels (blouse especially) targetted at the younger adults. Previously, almost all their collections were "heavy" on prints and thus, only suits the adults. Animale Collection is one good example. I'm sure U don't find it appealing, right? I know I don't. :P Thankfully, as time progresses, Anglia must have teamed up with newer designers to create a much simpler collection. I believe through feedbacks, they have gathered that loud and bold prints doesn't really appeal to many. Now, they focus mainly on abstracts. Still, they can never let go of the striking colours. Haha! Their apparels for both men and women still comes in dark orange, bright yellow, shocking pink and electric blue. Gosh! Who would wear those? Here's two of the men apparels I bought during the last two years. I must admit that the one in orange is a tad too loud for a teenager like me. The other piece (in peach) is a little more subtle but still stands out when worn to a suitable event. What do U think?  Anywho, me and mom were in Geylang (particularly Joo Chiat Complex) yesterday night. Well, we never intended to even visit Anglia but I'm glad we did! Hahahaha. I love all their new collections. I wanted to get a matching piece with mom but she doesn't seem to like the idea. Thus, we bought our own pieces. After much deliberation, I finally settled with their latest White Abstract shirt while mom got a Greenish-Turquoise (abstract) and Purplish-Blue (nature) long blouse. The best thing about Anglia? What else if not for their very much reasonable price? Most of the pieces only cost SGD39 each. Woohoo! :D
   P/S: I swear I saw a similar Purplish-Blue long blouse at Island Shop retailing close to SGD100! Woots. Btw, the pictures really doesn't justify the gorgeous pieces. Sigh. I need a new digital camera!!! :(Regards,Niz
