Guess what? Mom finally agreed to get a new car!!! Hahahaha. After months of driving her 4 to 5-years-old Hyundai Accent, she finally admitted that she got so tired of driving a Manual Transmission car. Ever since she got her driving licence in September last year (it's been a year now!), she hasn't been driving around much. At most once or twice per week coz she really had a hard time driving the car (as in slow in changing gears etc). I don't know what's the root of the problem actually. Is it the car or is it just her?

Anywho, since a couple of months back, I alongside her close friends have been advising her to switch to an Automatic Transmission car. Most of her close friends (all female) have been driving Auto cars for a long time now. Two of them drives a Toyota Wish and Hyundai Avante respectively! Awesome, no? Now, we all know the major difference of Manual and Automatic Transmission cars. But, one has to obviously be in a much better financial state in order to own one as they are generally, much more expensive. Not only that, the maintenance may also be a little bit costly.

Everyone can only advise but mom knows her financial status better. If she wants to give up her current car right now, she would have to top up a whole lot in order to get a new car. This is a huge burden for her. I mean, we're talking about another 7-10 years of debt, okay! Haha. Furthermore, mom can only fork out so much per month and it's hard to get a car at such low prices these days. She wants a Sedan that doesn't exceed SGD400+/- per month (after deducting the what nots of Off Peak Car).

Her current 1.5 Hyundai Accent OPC car is only SGD385 per month. Then again, it's Manual Transmission. U can expect the cheapest Automatic Transmission cars to be at least SGD420 per month. Sigh. Today, me and mom was on a serious lookout for the most suitable car and we finally decided on this particular one from Suzuki. No, it's not the Suzuki Swift. :P

It is the 1.6 Suzuki SX4 Sedan! Here's the details of the car:

By far, this is the most perfect car for mom. She can have the ease of mind by driving this car. Hopefully, by the end of the year, when all major issues has been sorted out, mom will purchase this car. Everything needs to be well calculated but I'm positive it's not going to be much of a burden for her. Maybe in a few years time, I will get my driving licence and thus, get to drive this car too! Woohoo! I just can't wait. May it all be a reality... Weeee!

P/S: Mom thought of purchasing this car only when it's nearing Chinese New Year as the COE will definitely fall. Gee, that's such a long way ahead, no? Hehe! :)
