Nizam & Nisaa
On Tuesday, I received a rare sms at around noon, from someone whom I rarely meet (what more spend some quality time with) asking me to accompany her to some *secluded* place. Oooo... Who is that person? Where were we heading? Hahahaha! Ok ok I'm extremely exaggerating here. :P Don't get the wrong idea first! ;)
Well, the person I'm referring to, is none other than Tajun Nisaa, a close friend of mine from BMC. She has this habit of calling me up only when she needs me to accompany her to some place. Haha. Most of the time, I am more than free to accompany her but off late, I remember turning down a few of her requests. As such, this time round, I felt bad so I "gave in" to her request but, not without knowing where we were heading first.Apparently, this petite girl has gone for a "FREE" makeover photoshoot some time back and on that day, it was time for her to pick the best photos. I got to know she went for this makeover from Huz the previous day, and was so excited to see how it all turned out. I guess that's the main reason why I finally agreed to tag along. Hehe! Sorry, Nisaa! I'm such a "busybody", no? :P
So yeah, soon enough, we found ourselves walking through the surprisingly empty Bugis Street. We immediately went to the 3rd level and there by the corner, stood the "House Of Accesories (HOA)" boutique. I was shocked to see that it's like any other apparel store. Little did it look like a photo studio! Without wasting time, Nisaa quickly settled down and started choosing the best photos while laughing her heart out. Guess what? HOA was generous enough to provide more than 40 frames for the photoshoot! For a "FREE" makeover, that's just like a total bonus, no? It's really a great chance for one to truly shine like a model! How I wish I had went for the makeover instead! Hehe. Sadly, I felt that Nisaa wasted quite a number of frames. She claimed to be nervous and what nots. Oh wells. Eventually, she managed to pull out 7 best looking photos. Still, having more frames just mean having more profit for the company coz Nisaa's only entitled to 2 free photos. The rest were charged at SGD5 each! So that means, she paid SGD25 for the "FREE" makeover. Haha! Even so, the experience is what matters! That's obviously priceless! :D After paying and bidding goodbye to the lovely boutique's assistant, Cik Wati, we headed straight to Bugis Junction. Nisaa has not set foot there for a long time and as such, she was eager to go round. Don't even ask how I felt. U know window shopping is one of my favourite pastime, right?! Hehe. I am not in the right financial state to splurge now (as I'm jobless) so I really have to control the urge. Trust me, it's NOT an easy task. :P True enough, while at the basement, I just couldn't control the urge any longer. Haha! I was torn between Chewy Junior and J.CO Doughnut. Eventually, I decided to splurge on Chewy Junior's puffs in the name of trying something new (doughnuts are common, no?). Without much thinking, I purchased 6 of their *recommended* puffs @ a hefty SGD7. Ridiculous much?
Me & Nisaa then took bus service number 7 and headed towards Bedok Interchange. Along the way, we had a nice chat. Caught up with life. It was just fun! We were so glad we didn't take the MRT. Else not, our time together would be shorter. Hehe. I especially love it when we both reminisce the good old BMC days. Sigh... Well, I hope to spend time again with U soon, Nisaa! Thank you for the "asking me out". Appreciate it loads. ;) P/S: At break fast, I immediately sank my teeth into a few (small pieces) of the CJ puffs. My immediate reaction was, "WTH is this?". Yups, it's THAT bad. The puffs are not what I expected it to be. The texture's too rubbery instead of chewy and the toppings just overpower the overall taste. Gosh, I felt it was just not worthit. I rather splurge on J.CO Doughnut! Hmmm... maybe U guys can give it a try and tell me what u think? Different people have different taste, U see. Haha. Oh yeah, I'm extremely sorry Chewy Juniors! :(Regards,Niz
