Mini Celebration for Granny
On Thursday, I accompanied my granny to HDB Hub as she needed to settle some important things regarding the sale of her flat. She was also looking forward to receiving a cheque from the new owner. For all U know, after 25 years of owning the 3-room flat, the value of the flat actually rises so much! My granny managed to sell it to her "old and extremely rich" friend at a whopping SGD200,000 when she bought it at only SGD18,000 back in the 80s. Woah! Isn't that a huge profit? I just hope to get my share real soon! Hahahaha.Soon after everything ended, I decided to treat granny at Swensen's. U can call it a mini celebration. Haha. :P Well, it was also a way to make her happy, U see. I know she's sad that she have to sell her beloved flat but I think, everything happens for a reason. I'm not boasting but god willing, me and mom can provide whatever she needs/wants in the long run. After all, we have been doing that all along while she was living on her own. So yeah...  Ok back to Swensen's. Haha! Initially, granny didn't want to have anything much as I guess she's shocked by the price but I just decided to order a few variety of delicacies and there she goes. As a result, she was too full from the "mini feast". Haha! It's nice to see her indulging. Most people of my granny's age would have lost part, if not all, of their appetite but not for my granny, OK! :P Anyways, these are what we had:    P/S: I seriously feel that Swensen's food quality has gone way down.
