My January ended with an even bigger blast with the above mentioned event. It has never crossed my mind that I would be able to attend the festival, free of charge! Yes U saw it right. The generous people at People's Association were so kind to sponsor a selected number of ITE students islandwide, tickets for both the parade and the after party. While it may not be much of a deal for some of U, it was sure a sweet deal for me and my friends as we got to save a freaking SGD44+! Well, not that I would have forked out that much initially but oh wells! Come on, who doesn't love freebies, right? Haha!
Now, the hardest part must be sticking to the ticket till the end. As we all know, year after year, the Chingay Parade will always have full spectators and thus, tickets sell out real fast. Those who can't lay their hands on a ticket would give up almost anything just to get it and as such, they hit the streets in order to find their "victims". Me and my friends were stopped by this one man who literally pleaded us to sell at least one ticket to him. He was prepared to pay double, even triple. Gosh, I swear I was so tempted (since I will be making 100% profit)! But, in the name of seeking new experience, we all held on to our tickets till the end and we were really glad we did. :)

The experience was undescribeable! It was just wonderful! The parade was full of c o l o u r s and the crowd were so energetic! I believe, the whole event was thoughtfully planned out and executed smoothly. Kudos to PA and all the parties involved. I'm sure all the hard work paid off. From a spectator's point of view, I must say that I truly enjoyed everything! It was in fact, beyond my expectation! :D

After being astonished by the amazing displays, we then proceed to the Chingay after party or what is called the City Alive. This was even better! Everyone had a great time dancing away to the hits spinned by world renowned DJs! Outdoor clubbing has never felt so good before. When else can U get to dance crazily on the street? Haha! Frankly, I still can't get over the awesome moments but as usual, I only have pictures as memories. So yeah, feel free to browse through the albums below, aite? :D
