Dining Out
Today was granny's off day from the kitchen. Haha! She's been cooking us lunch and/or dinner every single day without fail but since she's not a robot, she obviously needs some rest once in a while, no? Hehe. So yeah, mom decided to eat out for dinner tonight. Well, the idea was great but I hate it when we had to literally "brainstorm" the places that we should head just to fill up our tummy! I mean, can't we simply name one place and head there without thinking twice? Sheesh!
After much discussion, we finally decided to head down to East Coast Lagoon Food Village since we hadn't been there for what seem ages! Haha. Afterall, mom was craving for some satays while I was craving for this one particular seafood. When we reached at around 8.30pm, we were surprised to see the place fairly empty. Oh wait, it's a weekday night. People mostly dine there only on weekends, no? Haha! Anyways, without hesitation, we quickly placed our orders and soon enough, the delicacies arrived. :)

The satays weren't that bad but what (almost) knocked me off the chair must be the "Gong Gong" shells. I can't believe I finally got the chance to savour the succulent seafood, once again! Last I had them was a few years back, in Batam. Haha!!! Well, what's better, the delicacy is actually pretty affordable. A plate only cost SGD12! :D It's extremely worthit as it's a real chore to prepare the shells (cleaning and stuff). So yeah... For those of U who don't know what's "Gong Gong", here's some pictures of it (including the flesh). Trust me when I say it's beyond delicious~ ;)

Overall, we just had a nice "bonding" time and enjoyed everything to the last bite. Oh yeah, we also had a good time talking about others. More like "bitching session" with my mom and granny. Oh.My.God! Hahahaha.... But still, not as bad as U may think, of course! ;)
P/S: If u hadn't noticed, the theme for the night was pink! LMAO.
Regards, Niz
