Trip to JB
As I've mentioned in my previous post, my intention of going to JB is just to visit my relatives. Well, I really thought that it would be fun but eventually, it turned out to be pretty boring. I reckon it's due to us not having much activity. Haiz. But, thank god that was only on the first day (Saturday)! I'm back to my euphoric state on Sunday, after going round JUSCO Tebrau City! What is that U ask? Well, that's practically the biggest shopping center in JB where U can find a wide range of labels (Calvin Klein Jeans, Topshop, Mango, Guess etc.). It's very much comparable to VivoCity! Not a wonder I'm all smiles, eh? Haha. :P
As we reached the mall at around noon, we decided to have lunch almost immediately. But, being in Malaysia where most of the restaurants are Halal certified, it was a hard time for us to choose the most perfect restaurant to dine in. After much discussion with mom, we finally chose the Manhattan Fish Market! :D I had actually set my eyes on this particular restaurant ever since I entered JUSCO but mom just had to say her piece. Hehe. God knows how jealous I was when Mrs Verde blogged about her experience dining in MFM so I decided, I must give it a go too! Hahaha.

Hmmm... I must say that the restaurant's concept is pretty much similar to Fish & Co. so there's not much confusion for me. Mom and granny just made blank faces at the waiter while I ordered for them. Haha. Soon enough, everything that we ordered arrive. I wasted no time in sampling everything and guess what? It was extremely sumptuous! We had no regrets dining in the restaurant. The portion is quite big too so by the end of it all, we were just too full. There's not even a little room left for dessert. Well that's pretty much ok since Tiramisu was unavailable, anyways. Hehe! So what did we ate? It's all listed below... :)
Cream of Mushroom
Fried Country Mushroom
Grilled Catch of the Day (Dory) Grlled catch of the day complete with Manhattan garlic butter sauce - a healthier choice.
Baked Pacific Dory Traditional baked fillet in special butter fruity sauce.
Baked (Dory) Fish in Garden Herbs Finely baked fillet in natural garden herbs (corriander/parsley) for a tasty and healthy meal.
Tropical Breeze
The pricing is pretty reasonable, affordable and worthit too, so there's no reason why one shouldn't savour the delicacies. The next time you're in Malaysia (JB or KL especially), be sure to try the Manhattan Fish Market, aite? ;) U'll definitely want more! Haha. How I wish Singapore's branch is Halal. I wouldn't have to travel just to savour such good food! :P *pergi lapar balik lapar*
Anywho, after the filling lunch, me and mom decided to go shopping while granny sit on one of the many empty benches located all around the mall, waiting for us to be done. Haha! There were so many things to see and obviously buy if one can afford so me and mom really had to control ourselves. Luckily, mom already had a list of things to get so we had no time to sidetrack. Choosing what she wanted was already such a chore (she's fussy, remember?)! But end up, I'm glad we made some good purchases. Here are the 4 "major" things we bought after going round the mall for an hour or so. Hahahaha.... We're officially nuts! :P
Vincci Blue Denim Heels
Viss Black Satin Chain Bag
Viss Black Satin Heels (matching with the bag)
Lee Black Jeans (for myself)
Woohoo! I love JB! Hahahaha. On a random note, my mom's car actually bears a plate number that starts with SJL. Does that mean, Singapore-Johor Love?! Hahahaha! :D
Regards, Niz
