Good News!!!
 I believe by now, most of U had known that there will be NO Singapore Fashion Festival for this year, right? An article in The Straits Times late last year, mentioned that the fashion festival will only be relaunched in 2010, revamped. Apparently, the move is part of a larger tourism push that aims to draw more visitors, thus increasing the total tourism receipts. While I don't really agree with this move, I say, just do anything that is good for the economy. It's not like fashion will totally die down without the festival, no? Hehe!
 Anywho, I had the shock of my life today! After browsing through some sites, I found out that there is actually another type of fashion festival slated to take place in early May. I mean, was the previous article just a gimmick? Hahaha! Still, instead of SFF, the event will be named "Audi Fashion Festival Singapore". I reckon Audi must be the main sponsor, this time round. It was MasterCard, last year. ;) My, I'm so looking forward to the festival, can? The designers that are taking part in the festival are just legendary! One can't go wrong with Christian Lacroix & Vivienne Westwood especially. Of course, my favourite designer will be there too! Who else, if not Ashley Isham? :D
As I'm part of the glamorous event last year, I definitely want to be in the scene once again, this year! I already emailed the team at Mercury Marketing and am still awaiting their respond. I really really hope I get to volunteer. Ditch the fact that I'm not being paid coz the experience itself, is priceless. Perhaps, if I really didn't get a chance to be part of the crew again, I may just buy tickets to some of the shows (Ashley's included). I just love fashion festivals!!! :)
