Latest Acquisition: Nokia 1661
As everyone knows, bringing along a handphone to camp during National Service is permittable, as long as it follows the guideline that MINDEF has came up with. The handphone should just be of a basic kind with no camera (most important) and some other features. Since I have no such phone, I did a quick research recently on which phone is better for me and finally settled on the Nokia 1661. The phone was purchased from Nokia Store @ Century Square for only SGD79! Why the phone, U ask? Well, here's the review... :)
"An outstanding phone we had the chance to review is the Nokia 1661, a cell phone that has been created to rival the mobile phone market. Being of size 108 x 45 x 14 mm while weighting only 82 g, this item´s size will please its users. It comes with a 860 mAh Li-Ion battery, letting a talk time of 3.90 hours and gives in standby 500 hours. Its creators incorporated a 4.0 MB memory, enough for your daily tasks! An interesting option of the Nokia 1661 is the speaker phone, being a useful tool anywhere! The nice screen of this cell phone lets you insert wallpapers of 128 x 160 px. Nokia has equipped its 1661 with a 32 chords ringtone player, ready for you to add a lot of ringtones.
If you like skinnable phones you will like to know the 1661 enables custom. The phone includes a calendar which is very intuitive and Nokia equipped it with a phone book having a capacity of 500. The prediction text tool is using the T9 technology, which is very easy to use. We have found the Nokia 1661 to be a great cell phone and we greatly encourage it to anyone interested in a good phone!"
